Majorpack, a company that specializes in anti-corrosion coating of oil pipes, turned to Pokkels to evaluate the effectiveness of laser thread cleaning on oil pipes.
On December 21, 2020, we arrived at the oil company of one of Majorpack’s clients. The Pokkels F-Clean BP portable backpack with 100W power output was used for the demonstration. The backpack was used to clean the oil pipe threads of accumulated contaminants and excess coating.
We tested laser cleaning of rust and residual bituminous substrate from the metal part of the bridge pavement during scheduled repairs.
We tested a robotic welding cell based on a collaborative robot - cobot.
